God Doesn't Need Us. That's A Good Thing.

Often times, for the faithful Believer, we can allow the call of service and devotion to become a heavy weight; a burden which we try to carry ourselves. In our minds, we think, “God has called me to this. I must accomplish it!” However, we miss out on the truth of Scripture that tells us God works IN us and THROUGH us to accomplish His good works…

Acts 17:24-25 says, “The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else.”

This verse is comforting for the anxious Believer. Why? Because the Lord is clear - I DON’T NEED YOU!! Now, on the surface, this message can seem discouraging; like, “Hold up, God, you don’t need me??!! Like frfr??!!!” But, if you look at this from a grace-filled perspective, you’ll see the beauty in this...

Because the Lord doesn’t need us, WE DO NOT NEED TO CARRY THE BURDEN OF GETTING IT DONE! Yes, we obey. Yes, we serve. Yes, we sacrifice. But those things, within themselves, won’t make or break the fulfillment of His perfect will!

God doesn’t need us to accomplish His will, but by His grace and love, HE INVITES US to be a part of it! He is a good God, and an invitation from a good God can only mean that goodness awaits!

So, this week, lead with an invitation mindset instead of deadline mindset. Joyfully serve the Lord, knowing that He is sovereign over our efforts! He doesn’t need us. And that’s a good good thing!

Love y’all,
